She has a background in competitive Latin and Ballroom Dancing. The two-turntable-tabernacle got a hold of her soul back 1997. The years between then and now have seen her working Radio Helsinki housting a Breakin' Boundaries radioshow, co-founder of Club Bundolo to Mocambo. Her music style various from breaks to soul, african, disco to house, jazz to fusion to be guardian of the vibe. She is the only female DJ to have carved out a niche for herself in the highly competitive Helsinki scene, spreading the cheer, zapping people, feet, bass and booties. See Anna S web-site. Kasio It was education-borne ennui that drove our hero to the decks. In 1996, Kasio leaned hard on a few DJ friends (Juhis and Bunuel, Helsinki legends both) and after some discussion, he was allowed to take on the Technics at a speakeasy. Beat mixing was essential for survival, as the weirdest things could spontaneously happen. You might be playing your stuff, look up and see a stage full of rappers...or instrumentalists. For Kasio this opened a whole new perspective on the act of making music. Together with his partner-in-beats DJ Anna S, Kasio has been a fixture on the Helsinki club stage ever since.
