B-EAT-Z SEASON FINALE with Juho Kahilainen (live set) and DJ Peter!  Yet another eventfull b-eat-z season is about to come to an end with a quality live set by Mr Juho Kahilainen. He's been producing music and organized parties for well over 10 years and now, for the very first time, in Oulu. Last year he had a succssfull gig in Koneisto festival. DJ Peter is also a new face to the Oulu underground but he'a a familiar face in both St Petersburg, Russia and in Helsinki. Warm up sounds will be delivered by our resident DJ Ken-Guru. Juho Kahilainen, Live set Juho lived his early years in a town of 5000 people. In a place like that, you have to do something to avoid the boredom - Juho started to mess around with synthesizers and computers. After ten years of hard work the results can be heard from Juho's productions. His sound could be described as deep house with a techy twist. After moving to Jyväskylä, Juho hooked up with dj Liu, who was also keen on house music. Together they started a club night called Phonour, which has brought names like Håkan Lidbo and Jori Hulkkonen to play in Jyväskylä. In Finland Juho has played in various events and clubs such as Koneisto and Kerma. Three years ago his remix of Laurent Garnier's track "Greed" was released on French F-Communications on 12" and dvd. Tangent Beats Records (SWE) released Juho's track "Sweet Brown" last year. Juho has also done some co-productions with Oded Peled. This year Adrenogroov Records (SUI) will release an ep from this duo called "Out of Home" with a remix from Vince Watson. The tracks have already got some support from Paolo Mojo and Rulers Of The Deep. Juho is taking his little brother with him to b-eat-z. Aapo Kahilainen a.k.a DJ Apostoli has toured around Finland in various rap/breakdance events and parties and is a former breakdancer in Rival tribe crew. He came second in this year's scratch battle and his musical influences come from Ninja Tune releases and more experimental turntablism. Peter played at the huge number of different parties and clubs like: CCCP/St.Petersburg: Venecia, Mama, Amalgama, Par.Spb, Absinth, Griboedov. Finland: Kerma (Helsinki), Diva (Tampere), Attic (Tampere), Stella (Helsinki), Jump Inn (Helsinki). Peter was also a resident dj at the Radio Sputnik Finland, where he was making his radio show about house music and its history. Peter has also played at big parties like Dj Parade in St.Petersburg (www.djparade.ru) and he also participated in Street Parties in Helsinki. Today Peter has a resident spot at Par.Spb in St.Petersburg (www.par.spb.ru) and does gigs also in Finland. His sets consist of different genres of house music from US garage to dark tribal and UK progressive as long as it's charged with positive energy.
